Lantronix unveils the general availability of S40 Series radio nodes

Lantronix, a multinational company that offers secure data management and access solutions for industrial Internet of Things (IOT), reportedly announced the availability of the company’s S40 Series of low-power, shock-resistant radio nodes for environment monitoring and metering.

The S40 Series offers temperature, light pulse counting, relative humidity and pulse counting nodes and provides users the advantages of durability with an IP68-rated non-potted design. Furthermore, these nodes boast of multiple radio types along with Wireless M-Bus and LoRaWAN™ options and an ultra-long battery backup that is optimally suited for the business of optimization of energy consumption.

Lantronix VP of Strategy, Jonathan Shipman stated that the company is thrilled to provide the S40 Series nodes to IPPs, power providers and utilities. Jonathan added that the company’s solutions offer reliability and durability to any industry applications whether it is environmental monitoring, smart metering or irrigation.

Lantronix will present the S40 Series radio nodes in addition to some of its other solutions between September 3-4 in the Asian Utility Week 2019 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Lantronix is also showcasing its entire line of Power Distribution modems which includes Automated Meter Reading, Underground and Overhead Fault Detention as well as Distribution Transformer Monitoring solutions.

The company will also showcase its Out-of-Band Management solutions, including its SLC8000, the first innovative modular console server of the industry that streamlines remote network management, power and server infrastructure at the data centers as well as remote sites.
